These two lovebirds drove out to the Oregon Coast all the way from Idaho for their elopement ceremony.  They said they chose to do an elopement because then it was all about them, instead of planning a big wedding for everyone else.

From the moment I met them in their fancy clothes in the sandy parking lot, you could see the warmth and comfort between these two.

They said their vows surrounded by the majestic cliffs at Cape Kiwanda, just feet from the waves. The groom got teary when the officiant had them hold hands and think about all those hands would do, and have done for each other.

After the kiss they laughed, and turned towards the ocean, overwhelmed and happy. My eyes weren't dry, let me just say.

There is something so very special about being a part of such a small and intimate ceremony. There are no distractions. The vows are delivered without the pressure of a huge audience.

We wandered the rocks and dunes, all while they talked and held each other and enjoyed the perfect beginning to their new life together.

They had their first dance on the beach, with a cell phone playing their song in his vest pocket. I cried again.

Congratulations, you guys! Thanks for letting me be there.
